CENTER POINT — A man gunned down in Center Point on Tuesday afternoon has been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner.
Delquan McNeily, 20, who is from the Grayson Valley area, was killed just before 2 p.m., at a business on 20th Court NW.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Center Point Fire Department arrived at the scene at Corey’s Barber Shop and found McNeily unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness said that he heard five to six shots outside of the barber shop.
According to a press release, the witnesses said McNeily got into an argument with another subject at the location. The argument then escalated into a physical altercation. At that time, a third person exited the barber shop and fired several shots at McNeely, hitting and killing him. The shooter reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored Toyota Camry.
