MOODY — A Moody business owner was arrested on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, on charges of drug trafficking.
Following an investigation by the Moody Police Narcotics Unit, Patrick A. Leberte Jr., 28, of Moody, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking.
Leberte is the owner of Hemp 205 (CBD Center), which is located on Moody Parkway.
During the investigation, authorities said they determined Leberte was selling both raw hemp and marijuana to customers. After executing a search warrant on Tuesday, Moody police detectives discovered marijuana, weapons and cash.
Leberte was subsequently transported and booked into the St. Clair County Jail at 9:38 p.m. Leberte posted a $22,500 bond and was released the next day.
The investigation remains open and might lead to additional charges for Leberte, as well as others, according to police.
