From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump endorsed former Auburn University football coach in the U.S. Senate race on Tuesday.
In a pair of tweets, Trump said Tuberville was a terrific head football coach and a real leader who would protect the second amendment and be strong on crime and the border.
Tuberville will face former U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions in a runoff for the Republican nomination. The winner will take on Democrat Doug Jones in November.
….(which is under siege), is strong on Crime and the Border, and truly LOVES our Military and our Vets. He will be a great Senator for the people of Alabama. Coach Tommy Tuberville, a winner, has my Complete and Total Endorsement. I love Alabama!
