From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Following the continued closures of institutions throughout the country in response to the coronavirus outbreak, Trussville Mayor Buddy Choat added upon the city’s quarantine on Sunday afternoon with further closures.
In a Facebook post, Choat penned an update that announced the closures of city facilities beginning on Monday, March 16.
To all Trussville residents,
Effective Monday, March 16 the following city facilities will be closed until further notice due to concerns related to the COVID-19: the Civic Center, Library, Sr. Center, Gymnastic Center and gym, ball fields, Tennis Center and playgrounds.
The CDC recommends social distancing to stop the spread of the virus and I feel like this decision will be beneficial to all.
My responsibility is to ensure the health and safety of our citizens and our employees. I ask for patience and prayer as we all go through this difficult time.
Thank you
