From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Due to social restrictions necessitated by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce is postponing the Trussville Job Fair, formerly scheduled for March 19, until further notice. Next week’s Spring Carnival is canceled.
Scheduling issues with the carnival company will likely not allow the rescheduling of the spring event, but a new date will be set for the job fair as soon as public safety limitations allow.
As for City Fest on the Cahaba, currently scheduled for May 2, plans continue, but with an anticipated longer timeline in mind. So regardless of when it happens, the festival is still in the works.
The chamber office will be open regular hours, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., subject to change as circumstances dictate.
In the meantime, we hope to serve as a conduit of information from local businesses to the community. So if your business has information to share regarding abbreviated hours, additional services, product availability or anything else pertinent to the coronavirus situation, please let us help get the word out. Contact the chamber office at (205) 655-7535 or info@trussvillechamber.com.
