MONTGOMERY — According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, there are now 46 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Alabama as of Wednesday at 10:20 a.m. Twenty-three of those confirmed cases are in Jefferson County. There are still no deaths associated with the outbreak in the state.
Public health officials in Jefferson County have ordered restaurants to switch to take-out service only and ordered child care centers closed and nursing home visits restricted.
