WASHINGTON — The Federal Emergency Management Agency stepped up online, building a page on its website to dispel rumors about coronavirus.
The page lists rumors and responses to those rumors. For example, the first rumor is, “There is a national lockdown and the entire country will be quarantined for two weeks. FEMA responds to the rumor saying there is no national lockdown and provides a link for the latest information on the pandemic.
FEMA said it is important to stay informed with accurate information.
