PINSON – The Pinson Public Library has halted all outside returns and curbside pickup starting Wednesday afternoon following guidelines set by the Jefferson County Department of Health.
The library will stop collecting book and media outside returns effective immediately. Items that are currently checked out have automatically been renewed through April 15 with no fines added while Jefferson County Library Cooperative member libraries are closed to the public. Outside returns are ending out of caution for the health and safety of the staff.
In addition, the library is ending curbside pickup service after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Curbside pickup will proceed as planned today (March 25) from 2-6 p.m.
The library stated that they are “putting together a lot of exciting opportunities for online community collaboration and will post more information soon.”
People with questions can call the library Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. at 205-680-9298.
The Pinson Public Library is currently closed to the public.
