BIRMINGHAM — The National Weather Service in Birmingham is monitoring for possible severe storms in central Alabama on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
The system is expected to move into the area late Tuesday morning and the threat will remain through early Tuesday afternoon, for the southern half of central Alabama.
The threat includes possible damaging winds of up to 60 mph, quarter-size hail and a tornado.
The main threat area will be generally south of a line from Tuscaloosa to Wedowee, according to the NWS.
