BIRMINGHAM – Another Birmingham area restaurant was hit by thieves late Monday night as Saw’s Soul Kitchen had its smoker rig stolen from its office in Avondale.
The restaurant posted on Facebook Tuesday afternoon that someone had stolen Black Betty, its 18-foot smoker rig, from behind the corporate office.
“We need your help!” Saw’s Soul Kitchen wrote on Facebook. “Last night someone decided they would take our smoker rig black Betty from our office in Avondale. We want this picture blasted to every part of this state to get her back. Share, share, share, and if you see her message us or contact the local police to report it!”
SAW’s Soul Kitchen is a barbecue and soul-food joint that was opened in 2012 in the former Quick Split Bar-B-Q location in Avondale, just down the block from the Avondale Brewing Company. SAW’S Soul Kitchen opened under the helm of head chef Brandon Cain.
The restaurant offers catering for parties and events, and just about everything is available for take out.
