DORA, Ala. — The Dora Police Department is asking for more information after a Trussville man was arrested in connection to a drug overdose.
Police said video showed people in a red Dodge Dakota pickup truck pulling a person who was overdosing out of the truck and leaving them in a parking lot. Police officers arrived and administered Narcan, a treatment for narcotics overdosing, on the person, possibly saving their life.
Dora Police posted surveillance images and asked the public to help identify those involved.
A short time later, James Thomas Newton III, of Trussville was arrested. Newton is facing charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless endangerment.
