BIRMINGHAM — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has received several reports of damage across central Alabama on Sunday, April 12, 2020. This post is being updated as more reports are confirmed.
BLOUNT COUNTY Multiple trees down on Beaver Creek Rd. off Hwy 75 in Remlap.
Report of trees down in Locust Fork area, Tawbush Rd.
Several trees were blown down along Highway 79 near Franklin Drive and Tawbush Road, possible tornado.
Damage on County Road 1, NW of Allgood.
Trees were blown down and additional damage along County Road 1 near Dogwood Lane, possible tornado.
**Highway 79 in Locust Fork is down to one lane. Blount County Rd. 33 going towards Hwy 79 is also blocked.
Numerous trees were blown down between County Road 20 and Robin Hill road along Hwy 231; road is completely blocked.
Flooding: several spots along Hwy 160 are covered with 6-8 inches of water.
Water washed away road near Wheeler Rd and County Rd. 49.
Trees down on Sanders Lane between CR 39 and Hale Creek Road.
Barn destroyed in Blountsville off Black Road.

CHEROKEE COUNTY Providence Church had part of its roof blown off.
Trees and power lines blown down and blocking the roadway.
Trees were blown down along County Road 89, in Blanche.
CHILTON COUNTY trees have been blown down by gradient winds around Verbena.
Trees have been blown down by gradient winds around Clanton.
Several trees were blown down along CR. 99.
ETOWAH COUNTY Heavy damage on Clifford Drive in Reece City.
Trees were blown down and additional damage, possible tornado.
Several trees and power lines down and some structural damage near Crudup.
JEFFERSON COUNTY several businesses destroyed along highway 78 near Sayre, possible tornado.
Reports of widespread power outages in Kimberly and Warrior.
Numerous trees were blown down and several roadways are impassable. Lawler Baptist Church was damaged, possible tornado.
A few trees blown down around Alliance.
A few trees blown down on Mae Vines Road.
Several trees down and many landed on homes between Fultondale and Gardendale.
PICKENS COUNTY Pickens County EMA confirms tree on home near Gordo. Tree and power line damages. No injuries reported.
Trees down near Pickensville Lake, possible tornado.
SUMTER COUNTY trees and power lines were blown down and landed on a parked vehicle in Bellamy.
TUSCALOOSA COUNTY trees were blown down and several landed on homes. Several automobiles were also damaged, possible tornado.
Water level rises reported across various areas of the Tuscaloosa metro area.
WALKER COUNTY trees blown down, car thrown near the Gorgas Steam Plant, possible tornado.
Multiple trees were blown down north of Cordova. One garage was destroyed by fallen trees, possible tornado.
**Bagley Fire & Rescue has requested Mutual aid from multiple and has now asked for media to report for people to stay away from the area and if they are in their house in the area and they don’t need to leave then just stay there they are in the way.
Damage reported at Jack’s in Carbon Hill.
Flash flooding near RV park in Sleepy Hollow Circle near Boldo. At least one RV was swept downstream in floodwaters.
Flash flooding reported in downtown Jasper. Water flowing water over roadway.
