HOOVER — A local security company that is thankful to be in business during the coronavirus pandemic, is giving back by offering 10 free security systems to businesses in the region.
Rob Hardman, the president of Chorus SmartSecure, said the goal is to protect businesses as they navigate a financially-challenging time,
“We want to help them,” said Hardman. “We recognize that their revenue is not what they would like it to be right now. We tell them we want to protect their facility today.”
Chorus SmartSecure will also monitor the systems for 90 days. If companies are not interested in continuing service after the three months, Hardman said the deal is a no-strings-attached deal.
“If you decide after all this is over that the system isn’t needed, we will come and take it out,” said Hardman. “For us, we looked at what sort of investment we wanted to make and it was 10 systems.”
After the 10 free installations, Hardman said Chorus SmartSecure will offer other companies a reduced rate for security services, with a delayed payment plan.
“We won’t ask for them to pay until they are back up and running because we want to serve the businesses and make sure they’re protected,” Hardman explained.
Wasabi Juans was one of the first companies that received a free security system. Hardman said after learning the business was burglarized, his company wanted to make a difference.
“They were just so excited that we decided to do that,” said Hardman.
Hardman said employees with the company ask every day how they can best serve their customers.
“We don’t view ourselves as a technology company,” said Hardman. “That’s what we do but we view ourselves as a service company. We provide a service to the community that meets the needs that they have.”
