BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department announced the arrest of a man in connection to a shooting that injured a child on Sunday, April 26, 2020.
Larry Jackson, Jr., 20, of Birmingham, is charged with attempted murder.
Police said the child was injured when shots were fired near 1134 4th Place North. The victim was in a vehicle and was taken to 1227 12th Street North, where authorities were notified.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue reported to the scene and took the child to Children’s of Alabama.
The child is hospitalized and recovering from injuries, according to police.
Jackson was charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He was taken to jail on a $60,000 bond.
