BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a man killed in a shootout near Center Point on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
Quanderius Decarlos Amison, 18, of Birmingham, died in the 700 block of Sunhill Road NW, around 3 p.m. Birmingham Police responded to the scene in the Devonshire Apartment Complex.
Coroner Bill Yates said Amison was shot during “an apparent assault” in the location. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating and has not announced an arrest.
