BLOUNT COUNTY — Blount County Schools Superintendent Rodney Green announced on Tuesday that the school district will host graduation ceremonies on Thursday, May 21, 2020.
The ceremonies are scheduled for the evening of May 21 at host football stadiums.
“We ask that our guests give priority to our parents, siblings, and grandparents for attendance and seating,” Green wrote. “This may help limit crowds and protect the attendees through better social distancing. Gatherings must be held in a facility that would allow a distance of six feet between families. Family members of the same household may sit together without regard to the social distance rule.”
Green added that attendees are encouraged to wear masks and follow guidance provided by the state health order.
