CLAY — Jefferson County Schools is partnering with the USA and Baylor University to deliver the Emergency Meals to You program (eMTY).
Eligible students will have 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches delivered every two weeks.
“Our district continues to explore ways to make sure students are fed during this difficult time,” said Superintendent Dr. Walter Gonsoulin. “I commend our child nutrition program for making this happen. Emergency Meals-to-You is another way to make sure students don’t go without.”
Students at Clay Elementary, Clay-Chalkville Middle School and Clay-Chalkville High School, who are in the free and reduced lunch programs may be eligible. Parents can apply at this link: Register at this link – https://mealstoyou.org/emergency-meals-to-you-application/
Enrollment closes on Sunday, May 17, 2020. The first meals will be mailed after May 18.
Other eligible schools are Brookville Elementary, Crumly Chapel, Fultondale High, Grantwood Community, Hueytown High, Johnson Elementary, McAdory Elementary, McAdory Middle, McAdory High, Minor Middle, Warrior Elementary and West Jefferson.
