BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a man killed on Sunday, May 24, outside a Birmingham business.
Tyler Rashard Busby, 27, of Birmingham, was pronounced dead on the scene in the 2800 block of Bessemer Road. Police said Busby was at Nu Vision Detail Center when he stepped outside to take a phone call.
“An unknown person emerged from a vehicle and shot the victim,” Birmingham Police said in a statement. “The suspect fled the scene in a small sedan prior to the officer’s arrival.”
Coroner Bill Yates said Busby was shot around 5:25 p.m. and was pronounced dead at 5:38 p.m.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the homicide. There is no suspect in custody at this time.
