BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office paid tribute to a K9 deputy that died on Friday, June 5, 2020.
K9 Deputy Tori, who served with the U.S. Marines and completed tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, joined the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in 2003.
Tori and her handler, Deputy David Lawrence, served as the School Resource Officers at Corner High School until her retirement.
“Thank you K9 Tori for your service to our county and our country,” the sheriff’s office posted on Twitter.
