CENTER POINT — A new restaurant chain based out of Georgia will open its doors in Center Point this July.
The Original Hot Dog Factory is set to open a location in both Anniston and Center Point later this summer. The Center Point storefront is scheduled to open sometime in July, while the Anniston location will open in August.
The expanding chain opened its first location in 2010 in Smyrna, Georgia. The chain has since grown following the opening of its Atlanta storefront, which is owned by Dennis McKinley, the husband of reality star Porsha Williams.
The menu includes steamed, grilled and fried dogs topped with a variety of globally-inspired toppings. Highlights include the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Dog, topped with grilled pineapples, sweet onions and sweet island sauce and the Italian dog, a deep-fried Italian sausage topped with peppers and onions. Hot dogs include an All-American, Italian dog, Detroit coney, BLT, L.A. dog, Jamaican jerk chicken dog, San Francisco veggie dog and taco dog, among others.
The restaurant also sells salads, chicken, burgers, wings and other items.
