ONEONTA — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a Remlap woman.
Dawn Trucks, 42, was killed when the 2008 Suzuki SUV she was driving collided with a 2018 Honda Odyssey van. The crash happened on Friday, June 12, at 3:48 p.m.
Crews responded to the scene at the intersection of Alabama Highway 75 and Pine Mountain Road, six miles south of Oneonta. Trucks was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said she was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the van was not hurt.
Trucks was a customer service manager at Lowe’s of Trussville. She worked there for 22 years. Her funeral will be on Monday, June 15, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Remlap Cemetery.
