TRUSSVILLE – The first swing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, July 4 at Trussville Country Club.
Golfers—course members or not—are invited to celebrate Independence Day with a little competition, as Trussville’s July 4th Golf Tournament approaches. According to Chris Rigdon, the tournament will operate under a Ryder Cup format: two-person scramble, shamble and best ball.
Signup will be available on Saturday morning in the pro shop until shotgun start at 9 a.m.. Players can also register by phone at (205) 655-2095.
Rigdon says about 20 teams are expected to compete this weekend.
Entree fees for members are $40 while guests may play for $60. Lunch will be included. The Trussville Country Club is located at 7905 Roper Rd., Trussville.
Trussville also hosted a charity tournament to benefit an 11-year-old Gardendale girl last weekend.
