CULLMAN — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a fatal crash that happened on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, on Interstate 65.
Troopers who are investigating said the crash happened two miles north of Cullman, at 4:30 p.m. The driver of a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser north on I-65 collided with a 2009 Honda Accord, according to a press release.
“The PT Cruiser overturned in the median and landed in the southbound lanes,” the press release stated. “The driver of the PT Cruiser, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and seriously injured.”
The driver of the PT Cruiser was taken to Cullman Regional Hospital where he later died. The identity of the man killed will not be released until his family has been notified.
