TRUSSVILLE — Trussville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Pattie Neill released a video with recommendations for parents and students.
The three W’s are 1) wash your hands, 2) watch your distance and 3) wear a mask. Neill said the school system will have printouts of the three W’s, as a reminder.
“We have done everything we can to keep the teachers and the students in Trussville City Schools safe for the opening of the brand new school year,” Neill said.
Wearing a face shield, Neill explained how the three W’s can help protect people in the community. She asked parents to teach children how to thoroughly wash their hands and how to practice social distancing. Neill said it is highly recommended that everyone wear a mask.
“A good thing to do would be for your child to practice wearing a mask to see if they can tolerate a mask or not,” said Neill. “We would not like for them to wear a mask for the first time ever when they return to school.”
Neill also reminded parents to choose a school option.
