MONTGOMERY — The Alabama Real Estate Commission began the 2020 license renewal process for its approximately 30,000 real estate licensees in mid-June. Notwithstanding the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission is reporting real estate license renewal numbers that are in line with the numbers from this period for the previous renewal in 2018.
“Alabama’s real estate professionals are weathering the storm and continuing to provide valuable services to consumers,” said Commission Executive Director Vaughn T. Poe. “The Commission team members have transitioned to meet the challenges of COVID-19. Due to the prevalence of technology, we have been very resourceful in the use of virtual options to continue assisting licensees across the state.”
The deadline date for Alabama real estate license renewal is August 31, 2020. Online renewals can be completed using the Online Services on the Commission’s website, arec.alabama.gov.
Created by the Alabama Legislature in 1927, the State of Alabama Real Estate Commission has the statutory authority and duty to regulate the real estate industry in Alabama.
