TRUSSVILLE – Starting next Wednesday July 29, Trussville motorists can expect delays. According to a release from the Alabama Department of Transportation, construction will begin on both northbound lanes of I-59 between Milepost 137 and Milepost 141 at approximately 11 a.m. next Wednesday.
PROJECT DETAILS:
- Work will begin in the northbound direction.
- Both northbound lanes of I-59 will be slowed for a rolling roadblock between Milepost 137 (I-459) and Milepost 141 (Chalkville Mountain Road). The rolling roadblocks are expected to be intermittent and of short duration.
- Once work is completed in the northbound direction, the rolling roadblock will move to the southbound direction in a similar manner. As with the northbound activities, the rolling roadblocks are expected to be intermittent and of short duration.
- All travel lanes will resume normal operations no later than 3 p.m.
