PINSON — Pinson Valley High School Principal Michael Turner says a limited amount of football tickets are now available for order.
The school has partnered with GoFan to streamline the process of purchasing tickets. Pinson Valley currently has tickets available for order to eight different games, both home and away. Those tickets can be purchased here: TICKETS
According to Turner, roughly 2,500 tickets are available for Indian home games, including the Aug. 21 season opener against Hewitt-Trussville. He says that figure would satisfy the “half capacity” rule for Willie Adams Stadium this season.
“The Alabama High School Athletic Association and our school district has come to a consensus that 50% capacity is sort of the rule of thumb,” said Turner. “And after a quick measurement of our stadium, 2,500 seats is about where we are, so we’re going to divide the tickets up 50-50 and post a link for Hewitt-Trussville fans in addition to Pinson Valley fans.”
About 1,250 tickets will initially be available for both Pinson Valley and Hewitt-Trussville fans to order. Any unclaimed tickets would be available for in-person purchase at the stadium on the night of the game (Friday, Aug. 21).
“Now, if they have already sold out online, then in-person tickets would not be available (on Friday night) because we would have met our maximum capacity,” said Turner.
He also says specific areas will be blocked off for both the Pinson Valley and Hewitt-Trussville bands on Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Willie Adams Stadium in Pinson.
