Municipal elections were held throughout The Tribune’s coverage area on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Three races, including a mayoral race, were decided in Leeds, while Mood offered a single challenger for Place 2.
Incumbent David Miller won the Leeds mayoral race over John Dawson, 1,052-429.
In District 3, Johnny Dutton held off three challengers with 315 votes on Tuesday. Sabrina Graves was 201 votes behind Dutton in the Leeds race for District 3.
Linda Stoltz Miller, the incumbent in District 5, came up a little short against challenger DeVoris Roscha Ragland-Pierce, 164-149.
In Moody, incumbent Lynn Taylor edged Jeff Green, 199-170, for council Place 2.
