Lois Ann Edwards Copus, 90, of Birmingham, passed away quietly, surrounded by her sons Lee and Frank Copus, while visiting them in Florida.
Lois was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter “Bud” Copus, and her brothers Frank, Jimmy and Tommy Edwards.
Lois was born and raised in Birmingham, attending Minnie Holman Elementary School and Woodlawn High School. After raising a family, she worked at the Jefferson County Sheriff Department, until her retirement.
She is survived by 6 loving children, Lynn Combs (Jim), Lee Copus (Kim), Terry Foster (Jimmy), John Copus, Frank Copus (Janet) and Kathy Paesano (John), along with her brothers Earl, Don and Doug Edwards. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, 26th of August, with Chapel services following at Jefferson Memorial.
