BIRMINGHAM — Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates has identified a man killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 59 as Charles Macon Jace Wade, 31, of Vestavia Hills.
The accident occurred at the I-59/20 South at I-65 North interchange in Birmingham at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Yates said that Wade’s motorcycle collided with a concrete barricade while traveling south on I-59/20 near the I-65 interchange. He was ejected from the motorcycle and was found on the ground below the elevated roadway.
Reportedly, there were no other persons or vehicle involved in this accident. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Birmingham Police Department.
