TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville High School (HTHS) was named a National Blue Ribbon School for 2020.
U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos recognized HTHS along with other winners in the video below.
HTHS Principal Tim Salem was pleased to hear the good news.
“The HTHS staff, students, and parents have met the high standards of the National Blue Ribbon Schools, and I am excited to discover all of our high school’s continued successes,” Salem said.
The school was honored as an Exemplary High Performing School based on performance on state assessments and testing.
The U.S. Department of Education recognizes public and non-public schools as Blue Ribbon Schools every year.
