BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — The Ohio Valley Conference on Wednesday announced it will conduct a college football season beginning in February 2021. The season was postponed from the fall to the spring due to questions surrounding COVID-19.
According to the announcement, OVC schools, including Jacksonville State University, will play seven conference games and will have an opportunity to play one non-conference game. The first week of competition is slated for Feb. 21 followed by an open date on March 7.
The schedule, which will include all Sunday games, will conclude on April 11. Selections for the 16-team FCS playoff field will be announced on April 18.
2021 Jacksonville State football schedule:
Feb. 21 – at Tennessee State – 2 p.m.
Feb. 28 – Tennessee Tech – 3 p.m.
March 14 – at UT Martin – 1 p.m.
March 21 – Southeast Missouri – 2 p.m.
March 28 – Austin Peay – 2 p.m.
April 3 – at Eastern Illinois – 1 p.m.
April 11 – at Murray State – TBA
