MIDFIELD — The Midfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect in a September homicide.
According to a report from WBRC News, Frank Barefield of Crime Stoppers says authorities need more information to solve the Sept. 18 case, which involves a male victim who was shot in his car in the 400 block of 12th Avenue in Midfield.
The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Anthony Dewayne Baldwin, of Bessemer.
Detectives have determined Baldwin was shot before his vehicle collided with a utility pole around midnight on Sept. 18.
“Was this a random shot with a random bullet or was he targeted and killed,” asked Barfield.
