WETUMPKA — An Elmore County woman was found hanging in her jail cell about an hour after her bond was revoked on a manslaughter charge.
Tracey Goldman, 51, is accused in the death of two-month-old Remington Smith, according to the Montgomery Advertiser. The baby died of a lethal overdose of Benadryl, and according to court documents, investigators believe Goldman and her daughter, Addison Morgan, were operating an unlicensed daycare center.
Morgan is also charged with manslaughter. Both had bonded out of jail, but Goldman’s bond was revoked after she was arrested on a theft of property charge stemming from an incident at Walmart in Millbrook, Alabama.
About an hour after her bond was revoked, she was found hanging in her jail cell by another inmate. She remains in critical condition.
