LEEDS — The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce announced the Downtown Trick r’ Treat will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Several businesses will participate by handing out candy to children on the Parkway from Sonic through downtown, to the last red light at the corner of the gazebo and Leeds Theatre and Arts Center.
Due to COVID-19, safety guidelines will be followed. Masks are required and trick or treating will be conducted one-way only.
“Everyone is encouraged to travel in the same direction from the chamber of commerce office toward downtown and then, back up the opposite side of the street and maintain proper social distancing,” the chamber said in a press release. “Businesses should put the candy in children’s bags rather than allowing the children to get their own candy.”
Businesses interested in participating must register with the chamber by contacting Executive Director Sandra McGuire at (205) 699.5001 or sandra@LeedsAreaChamber.com.
