WALKER COUNTY — The Walker County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, after a person reported a possible kidnapping.
The sheriff’s office’s Investigative Division worked to find out more information and to confirm the alleged kidnapping. While on patrol, Sgt. Kevin Emberg spotted the suspect’s vehicle and attempted to stop it on Old Birmingham Highway. The driver refused to stop, according to the sheriff’s office, and Emberg was joined by other deputies pursued the vehicle through Boldo and the Pineywoods area.
The chase ended on Mac Drummond Road, where two people were taken into custody.
Christopher Lynn Pickle, 32, was arrested on outstanding warrants and is facing several other charges in connection to the chase.
Jennifer Tenille Lane, 37, was arrested on outstanding warrants.
“Lane was the alleged victim of the ‘kidnapping,’ which was reported by a third party,” the Walker County Sheriff’s Office said. “The Kidnapping allegations are still under investigation.”
