CULLMAN COUNTY — A Friday-morning accident involving a school bus has left one person dead, according to reports.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. in the Welti community of Cullman County. The victim was reportedly not a student, and was in the vehicle that collided with the bus. Their identity has not been released.
One student was transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure, while another student was taken in by his parents for evaluation. Both students have since been released.
The bus driver and 15 other students are believed to be OK.
