CULLMAN COUNTY — The victim of a fatal accident involving a school bus in Cullman County has been identified.
Joshua Charles Skinner, 35, was killed on Friday morning when the 2000 Nissan Frontier he was operating crossed the center line and collided with a 2014 Bluebird International School Bus. Skinner, who was not using his seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two-vehicle crash happened at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, Oct 23 on County Road 747, approximately six miles east of Cullman. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.
According to a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), five juvenile passengers on the bus were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
