ASHVILLE — St. Clair County Schools will be closed all day on Thursday, Oct. 29.
A statement from the school system was announced at approximately 6:40 a.m. due to widespread power outages.
PREVIOUSLY REPORTED: The St. Clair County School system announced all schools will be delayed two hours on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020.
Due to inclement weather, school buses will also run two hours later than normal.
“We want to make sure that our buses, staff, and students can travel safely to school,” the school system posted on Facebook. “St. Clair EMA has warned us that high winds may cause downed trees and power outages. Please be safe tonight and expect the highest winds between midnight and 5 a.m.”
