CULLMAN COUNTY — Alabama State Troopers are investigating after a 23-year-old Alabama man was killed when his SUV crashed into a home on Thursday.
“A single-vehicle crash at 1:05 p.m. today, Oct 30, has claimed the life of an Athens man,” Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said. “Kolter Max Williams, 23, was killed when the 2005 Ford Explorer he was operating left the roadway and hit a private residence.”
Bailey said Williams, who was using his seatbelt, was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The crash occurred on U.S. 278 at the 71 mile marker, approximately eight miles west of Cullman.
No further information is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
