BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is working to contact the family of a man killed in a crash on Interstate 59/20.
Manuel Miguel-Jorge Luis, 23, of Birmingham, was killed on Saturday, Oct. 31, when the Ford Ranger truck he was driving collided with another vehicle as it was approaching the Elton B. Stephens Expressway interchange.
The Ranger struck also struck a concrete guardrail and flipped over the side of the guardrail onto the ground below the interstate. Luis was pronounced dead on the scene in the 800 block of 25th Street North.
The crash is being investigated by the Birmingham Police Department.
