TRUSSVILLE — After seven years of writing daily devotionals, a local pastor is turning his work into a book.
Pastor Derrick Jordan, of Hope Everlasting Ministry, will launch a 365-day devotional titled “Focus.”
The purpose of the book is to allow readers to have a daily serving of the Word.
“It is literally going to bring your life into focus,” said Jordan. “Because one of the things that people are challenged with now is really having peace of mind and that is what focus will literally do for a person.”
Jordan said he was inspired by a college student to put his work into a book form.
“It’s really going to hit home for young adults and older,” Jordan added. “Our college students get it every day and they are getting a devotional. So, it is written to where people can pick it up and really understand how to bring their life into focus.”
The digital form of the book will be available for $9.99, on Dec. 4. A hard-copy version should be available, for $19.99, on Amazon, beginning Dec. 15.
Jordan plans to launch the book on Facebook Live, from his church, at 9 a.m. on Dec. 5.
