TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce announces Milam & Company as the presenting sponsor for the 2020 Trussville Christmas Parade.
A family-owned business that provides a wide range of commercial construction services across the Southeast, Milam & Company has strong ties to the Trussville community and is a longtime member and supporter of the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce.
“We’re very pleased to have Milam & Company join the parade lineup this year as our presenting sponsor and look forward to working with them to put together a stellar event,” said June Mathews, TACC’s executive director.
This year’s parade theme, “Christmas Traditions”, will give participants a chance to take their holiday memories and turn them into award-winning entries. Prizes will be given for Best Interpretation of Theme, Most Original Float, Most Innovative Float, and Best Overall Float. A prize will also be awarded to the Best Walking Group.
“COVID-19 has wreaked havoc with our event schedule this year, but our plan at this point is to move forward with the parade,” said Mathews. “We will, however, continue to monitor the pandemic situation and respond appropriately to any issues that could adversely affect the parade and its participants. Safety is number one.”
Scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12 at 3:00 p.m., the parade will follow its usual route through downtown Trussville. Individuals and groups wishing to participate can register online at www.trussvillechamber.com. Entry fee is $25.
