CHALKVILLE — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested the suspect in the shooting death of a teen at an apartment complex on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020.
Antonio Nichols, II, 27, is charged with capital murder.
Ja’mari Demetrius Harris, 18, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead on the scene. Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m.
The shooting happened at Park Brook Apartments, in unincorporated Jefferson County. Harris lived in the apartment complex.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (205) 254-7777.
