BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a double homicide after two men were shot and killed early Monday morning.
Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates said Jonathan Dee Jackson, 48, of Hueytown, was one of the victims. The other victim was Darnell Ogletree, 22, of Birmingham.
Yates said the victims sustained gunshot wounds during a reported assault.
The incident happened at 3:19 a.m. in the 2000 block of 48th Place West, in Birmingham. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene at 3:27 a.m.
