From The Tribune staff reports
MOODY – The Red Diamond Coffee & Tea Company recently adopted a flower bed project for the Moody Beautification Committee on the corner of Park Avenue and Hwy 411. Red Diamond accepted the project as an ongoing sponsorship similar to an adopt-a-mile to make seasonal changes and ensure that it always looks nice.
The bed installation was completed last week with trees, shrubs and annual flowers.
According to a Monday press release, Red Diamond will maintain the bed twice a week for the next year. The bed has been expanded from approximately 60 square feet to approximately 525 square feet with the addition of several smoke trees, emerald green arborvitae trees, purple mulhy grasses, fire chief arborvitae and encore azaleas.
The annual flower bed is approximately 60 square feet with purple, blue and white pansies, which match the city’s school color scheme.
The Red Diamond team that completed this project, includes Austin Lance, Security Supervisor; Marcus Barnwell, Assistant Vice President of Property Management: Grounds and Security; Dalton Gargus, Lead Landscape Technician and Keith Lee, Groundskeeper.
The Moody Beautification Committee thanks Red Diamond for caring enough about the community to sponsor this work and increase the beauty of the city of Moody. For more information about Moody Beautification Committee, please contact Paula Chewning at 404-423-8203 or paulachewning@gmail.com.
