BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department reports the Jefferson County coroner has identified the victim of a homicide that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020.
According to an announcement from BPD, the preliminary investigation suggest the victim, 29-year-old Corey Duskin, was possibly involved in some type of verbal altercation prior to being fatally shot on Saturday night. Birmingham police say officers from West Precinct responded to 5909 Ellington Street on a call of a person shot at approximately 6:20 p.m. and later found Duskin in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
The Birmingham man was transported to UAB Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
