BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Sunday morning and resulted in the shooting death of 26-year-old Kshune Dewayne Brown, of Birmingham.
According to a media release from BPD, officers from West Precinct responded to 4448 Carver Avenue at approximately 10:47 a.m. on a call of a person shot. Officers arrived and found Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and transported Brown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Shortly after, BPD was notified the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
There is limited information available in this investigation. Police say there are no suspects in custody, nor have detectives established a motive. Updates will be provided as this case develops.
