LEEDS — Motorists should expect delays this week on Interstate-20 in the Leeds area.
According to an announcement from the Alabama Department of Transportation, the right lane of I-20 westbound will be closed beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5 for clearing work between just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148) and the Leeds exit (Milepost 140).
ALDOT says travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
This same lane closure will be in place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6 through Friday, Jan. 8.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
