Melanie “Granmama” Fox, age 80 of Birmingham, passed away on Dec. 29, 2020. She was born and raised in Fairfax, AL. and attended The University of Alabama.
Granmama was devoted to her family and she opened her home and heart to many children throughout the years. She was the true definition of a true Christian, loving Granmama.
Blood didn’t make you her family, her love for you did. She will forever be remembered as Granmama to her neighbors and the community that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Irene Meadows. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Tom; her four daughters, Clair (David), Betsy (Brad), Deede (Jeff) and Leigh (Jamie); seven grandchildren, Ben (Jana), Laura (Brad), Emily (Chris), Todd (Katie), Brett (Ashley), Lauren and Brady; nine great grandchildren, Nolan, Wells, John Fox, Allie Kate, Saylor, Boyd, Cooper, Draper and Hopper.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Jan. 4 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
